Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been going through a rough patch in her career since her name was linked to conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Of late, she has been appearing before Enforcement Directorate (ED) to record her statements related to a money laundering case involving Sukesh. The actress has been accused of receiving expensive gifts and money from the conman. Now, in her recent statement to Delhi’s Patiala House Court, Jacqueline said Sukesh has made her life hell and has ruined her career.
As reported by India Today, the Kick actress alleged that Sukesh Chandrasekhar misled her and played with her emotions. Jacqueline stated, “Sukesh misled me, ruined my career and my livelihood.” She also claimed that she was introduced to Chandrashekhar by a government official. However, she ‘felt somebody was spoofing her.’ As per the latest development in the case, a Delhi court on Monday passed a notice to ED seeking its reply to an application moved by the actress asking permission to fly to Dubai for her work. Jacqueline had filed an application asking for permission to travel out of the country to fulfill her professional commitments. In response, the court issued a notice to the actress saying the matter will be heard on January 25.
For the unversed, Sukesh Chandrashekhar was booked for allegedly extorting money from politicians, celebrities, and businessmen. He duped former pharma company Ranbaxy owner Shivinder Mohan Singh`s wife Aditi Singh of Rs 200 crore. Chandrashekhar sent expensive gifts as well as extorted money from Singh to Jacqueline. The conman also booked a chartered flight for the actress from Mumbai to Chennai during his bail period. On the work front, Jacqueline will next be seen in the upcoming film ‘Crakk’ alongside Vidyut Jammwal and Arjun Rampal. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
