Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez, on Wednesday, was summoned by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police in an ongoing investigation into a scam of Rs 215 crore. The cops prepared a long list of questions to be answered by the actress including her link with conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar and the gifts she received from him. Now as per the latest update, Jacqueline was grilled for 8 hours and Delhi Police found contradictions in her statements.

As per media reports, Fernandez and Pinky Irani, the aide of Sukesh were questioned for eight hours and both were confronted with each other. However, the police found loopholes in their statements. India Today quoted a senior police official as saying, “We need to clarify a few things hence we have called Irani and Fatehi again. Today, they will be confronted.” It is being said that Delhi Police found inconsistencies in their answers during the first round of questioning only. Thus, Jacqueline and Pinky will be summoned again and the date for the same would be disclosed soon. Reportedly, Pinky Irani and Jacqueline Fernandez’s statements were initially recorded separately, and later they were confronted and questioned together. An Etimes TV report mentioned that now Nora Fatehi will be summoned and she will be questioned with Irani on Thursday.

ED alleged that both Nora and Jacqueline had received many expensive gifts such as luxury cars, branded bags, shoes, jewelry worth crores, and watches from the Sukesh Chandrashekhar. The Kick actress has also been asked by the Delhi Police to plan her stay in the national capital accordingly as her investigation might get stretched for a couple of days.
