Jaaved Jaaferi is known for his diverse acting choices. He has proven his mettle, especially in the comedy genre. The actor was last seen in David Dhawan’s Coolie No 1, featuring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan. A remake of the 1995 comedy with the same name, the film had Jaaved’s character based on the lines of Sadashiv Amrapukar’s part from the original. In the recent times, Jaaved has done a good amount of work and has an interesting future line up in the offing. According to reports, Jaaved was a part of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer Shershaah, based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee and army captain Vikram Batra. However, the actor denies being a part of the project.
“I don’t know how my name came to be involved, but I am not at all associated with that project,” Jaaved clarifies, adding that people might have confused it with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s Sooryavanshi, because he is a part of that film.
Even without Shershaah, Jaaved does have an interesting lineup for the near future. “I am in Akshay and Katrina’s Sooryavanshi, after that I have Bhoot Police with Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jaqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam, and a Netflix film called Jaadugar and that should come by October-November this year. In Bhoot Police, I play a no-nonsense cop, who is not funny as such but certain things around him become funny. I have one day of shoot and a song left for that. I have a web series for Hotstar called Escape Lives and that is a kickass project and I also have another web series for Amazon, that should also come around October-November,” he shares.
