Last year, the news of Kalki Koechlin and Jim Sarbh (of
Neerja fame) dating each other came as a surprise to many. The two, who are
prominent faces in the theatre world, were linked soon after they did a play
called The Living Room together. Kalki and Jim were going strong until rumours
of the two having hit a rough patch began doing the rounds in October last
year.
However, SpotboyE.com can tell you that the two have now
officially called it off. And like most break-ups, this too wasn’t an amicable
one.

In October last year, reports suggested that all’s not
well in paradise when Kalki and Jim gave each other the royal snub at the
premiere of A Death in the Gunj at the Mumbai Film Festival. It was being said
that while Jim was busy addressing the press at the do, Kalki posed for
cameras, however, the couple refused to acknowledge each other.

Just as these speculations were sinking in came a picture
that told another story. Kalki was part of the 16th Marrakech International
Film Festival in Morocco in December last year where her 2011 film, Zindagi Na
Milegi Dobara, was being screened. She walked the red carpet of the prestigious
festival on the first day and later that night, she shared a lovely photo
with Jim while they adorably gazed into each other’s eyes. She captioned it,
“Arab Saturday night fever says the brother, I don’t mean you
@jimsarbhforreal.”
So did the relationship go downhill post December?
Says a source, “Kalki and Jim had a tiff then and were
determined to work on their relationship, but things didn’t work out and they
actually decided to call it off last week.”
With this break-up, another couple has bit the dust in
2017.
