Karan Johar had informed during the MAMI Movie Mela that Ayan Mukerji's fantasy adventure film won't be called Dragon. Finally, the name is out.
KJo announced his next big production venture, Brahmastra, a while back on social media. Karan tweeted, "A TRILOGY ...A FANTASY ADVENTURE....A LABOUR OF LOVE.....”BRAHMĀSTRA (sic).”

Brahmastra will star Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, and will be a trilogy. The first among the three parts is set to hit theatres on August 15, 2019.
Karan made sure that he made this announcement on Amitabh's 75th birthday today. This will also be the first time Ranbir and Alia are paired opposite each other in a film. It shall be interesting to see how these three superstars will make a mark with such a huge franchise.
Brahmastra will mark Ayan's return to direction after two successful films - Wake Up Sid (2009) and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013).
