Kangana Ranaut often hits the headlines for her controversial tweets. Just yesterday, she compared herself to three-time Oscar-winning actor Meryl Streep, and was full of praise for herself. She lauded herself for the range she displays as a performer, and said that she has raw talent like Meryl Streep, and can also ace action films and look glam like Gal Gadot. In yet another tweet, she wrote that Meryl could never do a film like Queen. Now, Bollywood actor Ishaan Khatter, and TV actor Nakuul Mehta have taken subtle digs at Kangana, it seems.

Both Ishaan Khatter and Nakuul Mehta took to their Instagram stories and posted a very humble quote by Meryl Streep. It reads, “My achievement, if you can call it that, is that I've basically pretended to be extraordinary people my entire life, and now I'm being mistaken for one." Meryl Streep, having been nominated for 21 Academy Awards, holds the record for the most Academy Award nominations of any actor. She made this humble statement in a 2006 address at Princeton University. While neither Ishaan Khatter, nor Nakuul Mehta took any names, their posts appeared to have been a dig at Kangana and her tweets.

Yesterday, Kangana had tweeted, “Massive transformation alert, The kind of range I display as a performer no other actress on this globe has that right now, I have raw talent like Meryl Streep for layered character depictions but I can also do skilled action and glamour like Gal Gadot #Thalaivi #Dhaakad."

As Kangana compared herself to Meryl Streep, a netizen called it a ‘blasphemy’. Hitting bach, Kangana tweeted,  “I honestly want to know why do we worship white people? Forget their budgets and our age gap, tell me about just acting. Can she do Thalaivi and Dhaakad? Queen and Tanu? Fashion and Panga? Kaya and Datto? The answer is she can’t, then why not emerge from the deep-rooted complex?" ALSO READ: Kangana Ranaut Withdraws Suit Against BMC; Seeks Regularisation Over Alleged Irregularities At Her Flats
