Sara Ali Khan’s
debut Kedarnath began making headlines even before it went on floors.
A couple of days
ago, the makers released the actress’ first look and she looked like a breath
of fresh air. Now, speculations are rife that Sara’s role in the project is
inspired by Basanti from Sholay, immaculately portrayed by Hema Malini.
A source told
Mid-day, “It is wonderful to see how Sara is pulling off this role. She is a
happy – go – lucky girl who speaks Hindi and English. She is talkative and
chirpy; someone who doesn’t let anyone get a word in when she is talking. This
is exactly how Basanti was.” Well, now that’s kinda interesting!

Kedarnath, ever since the film (jointly produced by Prerna Arora and Arjun N
Kapoor of KriArj Entertainment and Balaji Motion Pictures) has been announced,
fans are waiting with baited breath to see Sara and Sushant Singh Rajput
together on the big screen.
More than
anything else, everyone is waiting for Sara's BIG Bollywood debut to happen
soon. After all she is one of the most talked about star kids in B -Town.
Having said that, Sara
was actually going to debut in a Karan Johar movie. There were rumours
that Sara, Ishaan and Jhanvi would be starring together in Student Of The Year
2. However, Sara grabbed a debut with an Ekta Kapoor movie and the rest, as
they say, is history!

Abhishek Kapoor, Kedarnath will hit the silver screens in June 2018.
