Last month, we
told you that Juhi Chawla
will do a cameo in Ekta Kapoor’s web series to
be directed by Nagesh Kukunoor.
Now, we hear that
Juhi’s ‘influential’ character in the series might be inspired by External
Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj. We laid our hands on a picture in which she
bears an uncanny resemblance to Ms Swaraj. See it for yourself.
Right from the
bindi to the way the saree has been draped, the similarity is hard to miss.
With the web
series, Juhi is making her debut on the digital platform. This will be her
second collaboration with Nagesh Kukunoor. She has previously worked with the
director in Teen Deewarein
(2003).
Juhi confesses
that she has fond memories of working with Nagesh. She never got a chance to
work with him over the years but when he offered her the role, she jumped at
the offer and said yes!
Talking about her shooting experience, she felt it was like a breeze. The cameo
role that she shot for was very interesting and well-written. She got excited
because of a lovely twist at the end. It is a dialogue-driven scene for which
she took Nagesh’s advice and did what he asked her to do.
Juhi is also kicked about the entire digital space as she feels that there are
no boundaries when it comes to being on a digital platform, as it could be
watched anywhere around the world.
The series will be streaming on ALTBalaji. Launching soon this year, ALT Balaji
marks Ekta Kapoor's foray into the digital domain.
