Irrfan Khan was one of the best actors the film industry has ever seen. He was prolific to say the least, and nobody can replace him. The Angrezi Medium actor passed away on April 29 leaving all his fans and well-wishers mourning. Recently, The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) paid a tribute to the late actor in Goa. His film Paan Singh Tomar was showcased in the presence of his son Babil Khan and wife Sutapa Sikdar. Irrfan's wife delivered an emotional speech that will leave you in tears.
In the speech, she said that IFFI could not have chosen any better film than Paan Singh Tomar to pay a tribute. She said, "I remember Irrfan had dreams in his eyes. It's a special moment because it's an honour and privilege to be given a tribute. I'm happy to be here, this is the first time I've come out of the home. But one needs closures to walk ahead, and IFFI is a closure. IFFI couldn't have chosen a better film, because this film talks about a race."
Sutapa also said, "Irrfan's finish line came too soon, but he played well. We're proud of you, Irrfan." As they attended, Irrfan's son Babil took to his Instagram account to share about. Sharing a few stills from the film and behind-the-scenes, Babil wrote, "Today, I need to share this as @iffigoa made it possible to watch and hear him on the big screen one more time, that to in Paan Singh Tomar. (This man exuded a younger energy than me in his late 40s even)."
