Irrfan Khan’s demise felt almost like a personal loss. Bollywood not only lost a rare and precious gem but also his fans lost one of the most incredible actors of our times. Irrfan Khan was fighting with Neuroendocrine Tumour and Colon infection before succumbing to the deadly disease on April 29. As we are still coming on terms with his demise, his sons – Babil and Ayaan Khan always make sure to treat us with some throwback photos and videos on their Instagram handle that only makes us teary-eyed. 

Similarly, on the occasion of Mother’s day, their elder son Babil took to Instagram and shared throwback pictures of his mother Sutapa Sikdar as well as father Irrfan Khan. To mark mother’s day, Babil Khan who is celebrating an extended Mother’s day shared a powerful wish and captioned the first picture with mother as “Long live the queen. Extended Mother’s Day.” In the second picture, he shared a happy moment with his mother and the late actor Irrfan Khan. More than a week ago, the Angrezi Medium actor's wife chose to let his Twitter handle stay alive when Sutapa Sikdar shared a heart-wrenching testimonial on her husband via his twitter account. 

In the long letter, Sutapa also asked her sons to sum up a lesson taught by their father that has been important to them, to which Babil Khan wrote: “Learn to surrender to the dance of uncertainty and trust your faith in the universe" while Ayaan Khan wrote: "Learn to control your mind and to not let it control you."


Irrfan Khan still lives in the hearts of millions, hence, a village in Igatpuri has renamed the locality after his name. According to a report in India Today, they have decided to rename a locality after Irrfan Khan, the man who helped in uplifting the lives of several students who belonged to underprivileged families there.
