Irrfan Khan had flown to London for his surgery as he was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour. Post the successful surgery, he returned to Mumbai, however, the actor has kept a low profile and has barely been seen. Yesterday, reports of him getting admitted to Kokilaben hospital in Mumbai made it to the headlines. Leaving all his fans in shock, reports suggested that Irrfan's health has deteriorated and hence he had to be hospitalised. Some reports also suggested that the actor is on a ventilator fighting for his life. However, that's not true.

Irrfan's spokesperson has given out the statement rubbishing the reports claiming that he is on a ventilator. The statement reads, "It’s really disappointing to know that there are extreme assumptions being made about Irrfan’s health. While we are truly appreciative that people are concerned, it’s disheartening to see some sources spread extreme rumours and creating panic. Irrfan is a strong person and is still fighting the battle. We really request you to not fall for rumours and not partake in these conversations which are fictional. We have always actively clarified and shared updates on his health and we will continue doing so."

Earlier, while confirming the news of his hospitalisation, a statement by Irrfan's team revealed that the actor is admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The statement read, "Yes it is true that Irrfan khan is admitted to ICU at Kokilaben in Mumbai because of a colon infection. We would keep everyone updated. He is under doctor’s observation. His strength and courage have helped him battle and fight so far and we are sure with his tremendous willpower and prayers of all his well wishers, he will recover soon."

We wish for the actor's speedy recovery. (Also Read: Irrfan Khan Attends His Late Mother’s Funeral In Jaipur Via Video Conferencing Due To Coronavirus Lockdown)
