'Amma has come to take me', were supposedly the last words of Irrfan Khan before he took his last breath. The Angrezi Medium actor passed away on April 29, 2020 aged 53. He was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour and was undergoing treatment for the past two years. His demise has left everyone in shock with stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Kajol, Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan and others mourning his death on social media. Now, an interview of his elder brother Imran has surfaced.
As reported by ETimes, Imran stated that Irrfan has gone up to meet their mother as he could not attend her funeral. Just three days before Irrfan's death, his mother passed away in Jaipur. The actor could not travel for the funereal due to the lockdown and his ill health. Reportedly, Irrfan became a part of the funeral through a video call. Talking about this, Imran Khan said, "It appears that while Bhaijaan was unable to make it to the burial of our mother, he has gone up there to meet mother. Woh kehtey theey fikar na karo main aaonga."
Imran Khan also spoke about Irrfan's love for kite flying and said, "He used to tell us in December to buy bunches of kites and Manjhas. And after reaching home if he was not satisfied with our quality he used to purchase them himself."
