Today marks the first death anniversary of the late actor Irrfan Khan. Undoubtedly, he was one of the finest stars in the Hindi film industry. Not only in Bollywood, but he also successfully carved a niche for himself in the West. The actor appeared in many international films and won millions of hearts with his remarkable performances. For the uninitiated, Irrfan Khan made his film debut with a small role in Salaam Bombay! and after years of struggle, Irrfan starred in the British film The Warrior. 

The actor had his breakthrough with starring roles in the dramas Haasil and Maqbool. Every performance delivered by him highly spoke about his versatility as an actor. The actor's career spanned over 30 years and earned him numerous accolades including a National Film Award, also Padmi Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honour. Recently, Golden Globes and the Academy also paid tribute to the actor.

The actor left for the heavenly abode on April 29, last year. The actor will remain in our hearts forever.
