One of the most talented actors Irrfan Khan passed away on April 29, 2020, due to a colon infection. It is now going to be a year since his demise and his wife Sutapa Sikdar recently opened up about her loss in an interview with a daily. She revealed that time has not healed her pain. Even though she wants to get back to work, after his demise, she has not been able to come back to normalcy. Sikdar even revealed that they were not mentally prepared even though the actor battled with cancer in the past. Furthermore, as Irrfan Khan’s first death anniversary approaches, his wife Sutapa Sikdar disclosed that he was planning to do a film with their son Babil Khan.

“He was actually looking at a script and that’s why I am saying that he was not prepared. He was looking at a script for him and Babil. He was like, ‘Babil ka yehi raha na ki acting hi karna hai toh yeh jo film aa rahi hai na, Sutapa...’ It was a very nice film about a coach who trains some specially-abled children for a football tournament and a win. And he said, ‘I want to do it with him. I would like to act or direct, maybe if I can’t act, I’ll direct. But maybe I would like to act...’. That was the kind of dreams and plans and everything and then suddenly... I don’t know…” she told TOI.

Although that movie is not being made, Babil Khan is now gearing up for his debut film, Qala with Tripti Dimtri which is helmed by Anvita Dutt and bankrolled by Anushka Sharma’s production house The Clean Slate. The teaser of it was released some days back and it will be streaming on the OTT giant, Netflix.
