Ranveer Singh was recently spotted dubbing for Gully Boy,
braving his shoulder injury and commendably putting work first. Unfortunately,
there’s one professional commitment that he will not be able to keep, and it’s
lined up for the coming weekend.
Ranveer Singh Spotted Outside Dubbing Studio
The 32-year-old actor will not be performing at the opening ceremony of the
Indian Premiere League, a source confirmed to SpotboyE.com.
He actor’s spokesperson had told IANS last evening, "Ranveer Singh has
injured his shoulder during a football match and has been advised not to
over-strain it for at least one month. Ranveer is, however, not taking any
breaks and will continue shooting for Gully Boy as per schedule."
Speaking about Ranveer’s upcoming IPL gig, his spokesperson had said,
"Ranveer is in consultation with the doctors who will advise him, in a day
or two, on whether he would able to perform at this year's Indian Premier
League (IPL) opening ceremony in which he is doing the finale act."
It seems the doctors haven’t given Singh the green signal, and news is that he
will not be performing at the IPL opening ceremony on April 7.
While life on the sets of Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy goes as per schedule, the IPL
organisers are in a soup, because they need another star to take on the stage
and wow the audiences with his finale act.
A source tells SpotboyE.com that BCCI is in advanced talks with Hrithik Roshan
to close the glitzy night with his killer dance moves.
If Hrithik steps on-board, he will be the biggest star act of the night,
followed by performances by Parineeti Chopra and Varun Dhawan.
Hrithik Roshan had earlier graced the IPL opening ceremony stage in Kolkata in
2015.
