Malaika Arora is one of the Bollywood divas who is envied by many for her hourglass figure for years now. She is also a symbol of fitness for many of her fans, today being the International Yoga day the diva in her Instagram post explained the importance of Yoga in her life. Penning her thoughts about this form of fitness in her Instagram post, she posted a video too where we can see her performing some of the iconic asanas with sheer ease and grace.

Malaika Arora in the video shares of not practicing Yoga to have a toned body but instead its way of life for her mentions the diva. According to her Yoga is mother ship of mind, body, soul and fitness. She also credits this form of fitness as it has helped her in every stage of her life, thus leading her to better life. In her Instagram post she wrote, “This International Yoga Day, you should not just take up yoga as a workout form but as a lifestyle…”

Concluding her post with, “I wish everybody a happy international yoga day! Love, light and happiness, Malaika Arora”


Malaika Arora’s entrepreneurial venture SARVA and DIVA Yoga amidst of the lockdown had conducted 7500 live yoga sessions featuring 50 yoga instructors for the well being of the people. These interactive sessions were available in 25 countries. As per a report in IANS, international artist Jennifer Lopez too had praised this program as this catered to many people across the globe and across different age groups, ultimately helping people boost their immunity power to remain safe in COVID-19 pandemic. 

Also speaking about this day is Indian author and yoga teacher Ira Trivedi, according to her Surya Namaskar is one full body work out asana, as it helps the body increase flexibility, stamina and more. She also suggests 6 rounds of 12 steps Surya Namaskar everyday which barely takes 15 minutes being helpful.  She said, “Surya Namaskar is like an all around body practice; it helps with every single body part as well as many many organs in the body. So it’s an all body workout that’s why it so wonderful. So if you do 6 rounds of Surya Namaskar you are actually working on everything your flexibility, your stamina, your muscle, it’s a very complete workout.”
