Indian Railways Frame Charges Against Sunny Deol And Karisma Kapoor After 22 Years For Illegally Pulling A Chain Of A Train

The popular duo Sunny Deol and Karisma Kapoor have been a huge hit with their films in the ’90s. The stars recently after 22 years have been accused by the Railway court for pulling the chain of a train in 1997 during the shoot of their film Bajrang in Ajmer district.

Sunny Deol and Karisma Kapoor have thrilled audiences with their outstanding chemistry and performances in films. The duo along with crew members were shooting for their flick Bajrang in the year 1997. As the actors were shooting for the film in Ajmer district, the railway court recently put charges on the actors twenty years later for pulling the emergency chain of a train. According to a report in News18.com, the counsel A K Jain of actors Sunny Deol and Karisma Kapoor mentioned that the charges against the actors were read out in 2009 and the duo confronted the order in a sessions court on April 2010. Later the session court cleared the actors of all charges, but on September 17, the railway court framed charges against Sunny and Karishma once again. Apart from actors Sunny Deol and Karisma Kapoor, the stuntman of the film Tinu Verma and Satish Shah were also accused in the train pulling case of 1997. But in the sessions court in 2010, the two crew members did not dare to challenge the accusations put against them. Now, finally, the Railway court has framed charges on the actors and has scheduled the date of September 24 for the next hearing in the 1997 train pulling case.



Similarly, Sunny Deol and Karisma Kapoor were shooting for their film Bajrang in 1997 at a village named Sanvarda, close to Phulera in the Ajmer district. The actors were accused of illegally pulling the chain of train 2413-A Uplink Express. As the train was delayed by 25 minutes due to the act of the stars Sunny and Karishma, the then assistant station master Sitaram Malakar of the village Narena, officially lodged a written complaint against the actors and the crew members. In the complaint at the General Railway Police, the actors and crew were accused of disobeying the laws under the Railway Act.
