Today, actor Ranveer Singh and Shibani Dandekar took to their social media accounts and congratulated the Indian cricket team shortly after India defeated Australia in its fortress Gabba. India won the fourth and the final test of the series in Brisbane, Australia, with three wickets, clinching the series by 2-1. With India’s win, Ranveer Singh and Shibani Dandekar expressed their happiness about this historic win. Ranveer shared a selfie with his TV where the match was playing. He said that he ‘delirious’.
“You can’t see my expression but I’m delirious!!! What a historic achievement @indiancricketteam”, Ranveer’s caption read. While Dandekar shared a long quote on her stories which read, “India’s B team wings against Australia. This is the best test series I think I have ever seen. So, what does this say about the discipline, grit and confidence of young Indian which is hungry and waiting for an opportunity. Talk to journalists and you will start believing that this country is finished and maybe there is no hope. If sports are a reflection of who we are as a country then today a 23-year-old Rishabh Pant or a 26-year-old Mohammed Siraj are showing a very different kind of a world, where giving up is never an option and which is filled with innocence, courage, hope and endless possibilities.”
Even the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi was elated with the win and congratulated them for their remarkable performance. "We are all overjoyed at the success of the Indian Cricket Team in Australia. Their remarkable energy and passion was visible throughout. So was their stellar intent, remarkable grit and determination. Congratulations to the team! Best wishes for your future endeavours," the Prime Minister tweeted.
