The film reportedly titled either The Ring or Rehnuma, also stars Anushka Sharma in the lead role. Yesterday, SRK shot for the film at Bandra Reclamation.
The shoot lasted for 6 hours. A source says, "Certain very important scenes had to be shot."
SRK looked happy. It may be recalled that SRK loves being on the sets of Imtiaz's film with (choreographer) Vaibhavi Merchant and Imtiaz- and he even tweeted about it. Indeed, he is. Pictures don't lie.
Imtiaz's film happens to be King Khan's third collaboration with Anushka, after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hain Jaan.
The movie, which will see SRK play a tour guide to Anushka, is believed to be vastly different and fresh than many of its counterparts.
Talking about his decision to cast King Khan in his film, the director had told a section of the media recently that "it was simply because the two of them wanted to do something that they hadn't done so far."
When asked if the SRK starrer will be in a similar space to his earlier films like Jab We Met and Love Aaj Kal, he had said, "I am not really thinking of it that way. I am just thinking of this particular story and trying to make it in the best way possible, whether it turns out closer to Jab We Met or Rockstar, that I don't know."
A large part of the Shah Rukh-Anushka film is complete and Imtiaz plans to release it on August 11. Pre-production of the film had begun in April 2015 and principal photography commenced in August 2016 at Prague, Amsterdam, Lisbon and Budapest.
The film also stars Evelyn Sharma.
Imtiaz last directed Tamasha starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone.
