Another Bollywood actor who is facing the wrath of BMC is Anil Kapoor. According to Times Of India, the BMC has demolished the unauthorized glass and wood cabins and cubicles inside Anil Kapoor's office in Santacruz West.
The report further states that the BMC's H-West Ward staff razed alleged unauthorized interior work carried out at four premises in Savoy Chambers which included Anil's office. The incident took place last week.
A
notice was sent to the concerned parties in September following which the said
action was taken under the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act (MRTP)
1956, over the interior works.
Sharad Ughade, the assistant municipal
commissioner, H-West Ward, told a leading daily, "Four structures were
partly demolished following due process of law. Besides, a car showroom on the
second floor that was issued a stop-work notice was razed too." He said
Kapoor's office had unauthorized "full height partitions. These can be
regularized but no application was made to the BMC for it," he added.
In the recent past, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished a
2,000 sq ft canteen of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's production house, Red
Chillies, in suburban Goregaon. A few months back, a part of actor Arshad
Warsi's bungalow at Versova for allegedly constructing an additional floor was
demolished by the BMC.
On the work front, Anil Kapoor is currently working on Fanney Khan which also
stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao.
