While a few stars like Malaika Arora, Sonakshi Sinha, Anushka Sharma are already in New York, enjoying the city life, others like Shahid Kapoor along with wife Mira Rajput and daughter Misha was spotted at Mumbai airport, last night, all set to fly to NYC.

This is the first time that IIFA will be held in New York. But it is for the second time the event is happening in the US. In 2014 it was held in Tampa Bay. The event will kick-start on July 13 and end on July 15. Like the B-Townies, even we cannot contain our excitement.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT IIFA 2017:

 

1.      IIFA 2017 will be hosted by Saif Ali Khan & Varun Dhawan.

2.      A song from Judwaa 2 starring Varun Dhawan, Jacquline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu will be released on the IIFA stage.

 

3.      Varun will pay tribute to his father as he completes 28 years in Bollywood.

 

4.      On the very 1st day of the event, a musical medley will be carried out to celebrate AR Rahman’s 25 years in the industry.

 

5.      Diljit Dosanjh, Neeti Mohan, Javed Ali, Benny Dayal and many others will join AR Rahman on the stage.

 

6.      Some great performances by stars like- Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Kriti Sanon and others will be held.


7.      A day before the main awards, IIFA Rocks will be held which will be hosted by Riteish Deshmukh and Maniesh Paul.

 

8.      Arjun Bijlani and Karan Wahi will host IIFA Weekend stories and the green carpet. Arjun shared his excitement on his social media handle, “I am hosting the IIFA weekend stories, IIFA rewind and the green carpet. I have also hosted last year in Madrid, Spain. So this is my second time.”
