Actor Hrithik Roshan is touted as the Greek God of Bollywood. Having often been credited for his physic, he often takes to his official social media to share glimpses of his gym routine. On Wednesday, through a post, he informed his fans that he suffered a muscle pull and had to use crutches so that he could heal properly. He also took this as an opportunity to speak about societal expectations of masculinity and what real strength actually is. Netizens immediately took to the comment section of his post to wish him a speedy recovery.
The 50-year-old actor took to Instagram and shared a mirror selfie where he is standing with the help of crutches. Through his caption, he went on to ask his fans if they ever needed to use crutches or wheelchairs. The Vikram Vedha actor went on to recall how his grandfather, even though he as ailing, refused to use wheelchairs at airports as it “wouldn’t align with his own mental image of himself as “strong”.” He went on to add that he felt sad when his grandfather felt the need to hide his fear and embarrassment on the inside.

The WAR actor expressed that his version of masculine strength is “that quiet fight on the inside between you and the “image” of you. If you come out of that one feeling like wanting to do a slow dance by yourself, then you’re my hero.” Netizens as well as his industry acquaintances immediately took to the comment section of his post to wish him well and advised him to rest.
On the work front, Hrithik Roshan was last seen in Siddharth Anand directorial Fighter alongside Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor. He is currently gearing up for his upcoming movies WAR 2 and Krrish 4.
