While the industry awaits to see Hrithik Roshan in a superhero avatar on the silver screen, with speculations of Krrish 4 into making, the actor had hit the headlines for his heroic act in real life too. In the year 2005, the city of dreams, Mumbai was devastated with floods caused due to heavy rains on July 26, 2005, thus causing a lot of damage to people and properties. During these terrible floods, the Super 30 actor's quick action back then had saved a girl's life.
The actor had rescued a girl from drowning, who had slipped out of a human chain made by the girls residing in the nearby hostel near Amitabh Bachchan’s residence Prateeksha. After saving her from drowning he dropped her to her hostel in the same vicinity. This incident came to light after a Twitter user asked in her tweet about people’s memories about the 26th July 2005 floods and the lessons they learnt from it.
Twitter wrote, “#Mumbai What is your 26th July 2005 story? And what did you learn from the experience? #MumbaiDeluge #Cloudburst” To which another Twitter user in his reply narrated the whole incident, “Dean had asked some of us to walk the girls from NMIMS to their Juhu hostel. Ten feet short of the hostel, a girl slipped out of our human chain and went underwater. Hrithik emerged from Prateeksha and rescued her. A lesson that heroes don't need the camera on to perform.”
