Rakesh Roshan has awed us with his incredible achievements over the years. The actor-turned-filmmaker has delivered some great movies in the past decades like Khudgarz (1987), Khoon Bhari Maang (1988), Kishen Kanhaiya (1990) and Karan Arjun (1995).
Today,
Rakesh Roshan completes 50 years in the industry. Like any other proud son,
Hrithik too is quite elated with the achievements of his father.
Hrithik shared his happiness with fans by posting a picture with his father and captioned it as, “Celebrating 50yrs of dads journey in cinema. But he’s in office working 2wards 100.Thanks dad, 4setting d impossible example 4us. #weluvyoupapa.”
Hrithik Roshan collaborated with daddy Roshan last year for Kaabil which clashed with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees at the box-office. The father-son duo has earlier worked together in hits like Koi Mil Gaya (2003), Krrish franchises besides Hrithik’s debut film, Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai (2000).
Rakesh Roshan also won the Filmfare Best director award for his stupendous work in Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai and Koi Mil Gaya.
The ace filmmaker started his career as an actor in the 1970 film Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani in which he bagged a supporting role. He then set up his own production company Filmkraft in 1980 and its first production was Aap Ke Deewane (1980). Rakesh Roshan’s last film as a leading hero was Bahurani, which was a woman oriented film starring Rekha and was directed by Manik Chatterjee. It released in 1989. Roshan made his directorial debut with Khudgarz in 1987.
