After a drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case emerged, Bollywood came on the radar of the Narcotics Control Bureau. Many Bollywood celebrities came into the picture and were even summoned for questioning by the NCB. A huge debate on the alleged drugs nexus prevailing in Bollywood took place on social media. Now, the honourable Home Minister of India, Amit Shah, has shared his views on the same.

In an interview with News18, he spoke about the menace of drugs and stated it should not be connected only to one sector. He even shared that reforms are being made to tackle the issue of drugs. Amit Shah was quoted saying, "It’s a menace that should be eliminated as fast as possible. In last 18-24 months, several decisions have been taken to curb the problem. I assure you that under Modi ji’s leadership it’s going to be very difficult for people who want to spread drugs. We are making some infrastructural changes and you’ll see changes in coming days. As far as Bollywood is concerned, it’s not wise to connect it to one sector." So far stars like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor have been questioned by the NCB in Sushant's death case and drugs case. Rhea Chakraborty even went to jail for reportedly procuring drugs for Sushant.

He also spoke about the alleged media trial that followed Sushant Singh Rajput's death. He stated that the issue should not be stretched for TRP gain. Amit Shah was quoted saying, "I am very clear that there shouldn’t be any media trial. If there is any lack in investigation or an attempt to sabotage the case then you’re free to question. It’s media’s right and duty. But to stretch an issue for the sake of TRPs is not right.” (Also Read: Home Minister Amit Shah Talks About Sushant Singh Rajput's Death And The Following Alleged Media Trial; 'Doubts Were Raised Since Day One')
