Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have been busy with their respective work schedules and are gearing up for their upcoming projects. While Deepika is busy her upcoming film The Intern, and one with Shakun Batra, Ranveer is prepping up for the trailer of ’83 coming up soon. Meanwhile, from today onwards we begin the celebrations of the festival of Holi by burning the bonfire. As we celebrate the festival of Holi 2020 from today onwards, the Chhapaak actress revealed her plans with hubby Ranveer Singh.
Speaking with Hindustan Times recently, Deepika Padukone opened up about how she’s planning to celebrate Holi this year. Opening up about Ranveer and her plan this year, Deepika said, “It’s the same; nothing special. Ranveer called me up a couple of days back in the evening, and the first thing he asked me was if I am working.” The actress added that sometimes working on Holi in really unavoidable, but shared that Ranveer and she try to be with each other on festivals. Padukone then shared that since no one else works on that day, it is great to spend time with one another. Speaking of work, Deepika mentioned that as she will leave for her outdoors soon for about a month or a month-and-a-half to Sri Lanka, Holi gives her an opportunity to spend quality time with her family before she leaves.
Meanwhile, the actress talked about how celebrations have changed after getting married to Ranveer Singh and mentioned how they both have always celebrated festivals. Deepika went on to share that Ranveer and she try to be in the city with family, and did the same before marriage as well, The Chhapaak actress revealed that nothing has changed as such apart from the fact that earlier the main celebration would take place in her house, but now, they do a small pooja at her place and then they head on to her in-laws where everyone is together.
Deepika Padukone then went on to add that in that way it is a bigger celebration and if Ranveer and her respective parents can be together on that day, that is the best thing for them. The actress mentioned that they do not do anything very elaborate and added that the main idea for them of festivals or holidays is to spend quality time together.
