Recently, Himansh Kohli appeared in a music video, Wafa Na Raas Aayee, opposite Arushi Nishank and Rohit Suchanti. The song is sung by Jubin Nautiyal and the video has been shot in Kashmir, showing the beautiful landscape of the place. The song has been a success and has been garnering appreciation along with trending on YouTube.

While talking to Spotboye.com, Himansh shares his experience of shooting in the beautiful location. “Kashmir is one of the most beautiful places in India. For me, it will always be number one because of the snow, mountains and the culture. Also, we never got to explore that place that much. It wasn’t as open to all usually, but now it is way better in that situation,” he says, adding that it was his second trip to Kashmir. “The first one happened before the release of Yaariyan in 2013 and I went there with my family. The entire feeling of being in Kashmir was surreal then but there was a bit of hesitation about our security,” he recalls.

Himansh goes on to state that shooting in Kashmir has always been on his bucket list. “It has always been a dream after I saw how Imtiaz Ali has shown Kashmir in his films. He has shown it in such mind-blowing visuals and be it Rockstar or any other film, he has always had a very different take on Kashmir. So, I really wanted to play a Kashmiri one day and it happened through this beautiful song that everyone has acknowledged. I think I made a very good manifestation at that moment and thus it happened,” he smiles.

Himansh’s co-star Arushi resonates his feelings. “It was beautiful and certainly we all have planned sometime in our life to go to Kashmir and see those beautiful places. We were the fortunate ones who got to go there and shoot for four days. Our shoot was even delayed by a day because of heavy snowfall,” she shares, adding that Himansh camouflaged with the locals very well. “As like Himansh said that he always wanted to be a Kashmiri, he was so conventional that people were coming up to him, speaking in Kashmiri, believing that he was a local. I think nothing could be a better win for any character. In the Dal Lake, it was very cold, but it had a very different charm to it,” she concludes.
