It's only fair that the Rani Mukerji led Hichki (produced by Yash Raj and directed by Siddharth P Malhotra) has started on a positive note, which stems from the rave reviews it got on the Internet in the first half of yesterday.

So, the word of mouth is good and the collections over the weekend are expected to mount.

Meanwhile, Hichki has collected Rs 3.25 crore at the turnstiles.

The film is inspired from a certain part of Brad Cohen's life. Last night, we brought you Brad Cohen talking about Rani, Aditya Chopra, Hichki and Tourette Syndrome.

For those who've come in late, Rani had told us in an interview that she is very happy at the response that the trailer has generated. From here, we all expect it to grow.

SpotboyE.com carried a 4-star review of the film, yesterday afternoon. Editor Vickey Lalwani wrote:

The teacher (actually she can be a teacher to few newbies of today who know nothing about acting but are strutting about everywhere) is in top form and you cannot point out one scene where she fails you as a performer. What stands out in the script is that at no point it tries to make you empathise with Rani or her Tourette Syndrome--- which is the real victory of Malhotra as it is very easy in such kind of an underdog tale that you force sympathy down the throats of your audience to be with your protagonist--- in an attempt to get sell a few more tickets.”

We shall keep you posted on how Hichki fares on Day 2. Stay on SpotboyE.com.
