Shraddha Kapoor
had a dull 2017 with her films OK Jaanu, Half Girlfriend and Haseena Parkar
failing to live up to expectations. However, the actress has put that behind
her and is gearing up for two films – one, Batti Gul Meter Chalu (also starring
Shahid Kapoor- Yami Gautam) and two, a horror-comedy flick with Rajkummar Rao.

Shraddha shared a
picture of her and Rajkummar beginning the reading sessions and captioned it,
“But..... what’s the title? Readings with the absolutely fantastic @rajkummar_rao Horror-comedy time!
While the details
of the plot have been kept under wraps, SpotboyE.com has it that Shraddha will
play a ghost in the film.
Says a source,
“Shraddha is experimenting with horror-comedy for the first time. Her role in
the untitled project is that of a ghost, which, again, the actress has not
played on-screen before. She has a brief role, not very long. However, it is a
significant part which Shraddha is excited about.”

To talk of
Shraddha’s other project, Batti Gul Meter Chalu, SpotboyE.com was the first to
tell you that the actress is being strongly considered for the film.
Shree Narayan Singh had
met Shraddha to discuss the gritty drama, more than once. The
director wanted to stay true to his style of filmmaking, and do justice to the
milieu Batti Gul is set in. He felt that Shraddha is the right fit for the
film that is based on electricity theft.
Over to the
untitled venture with Rajkummar, Shraddha’s character has piqued our
interest.
