On Monday, Marvel Studios released a three-minute-long video, teasing upcoming Marvel films and made fans' day. They announced release dates and titles of its Phase four movies. In the video, fans got a first look at MCU's highly anticipated movie Eternals starring Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan, Richard Madden and Kumail Nanjiani in the lead roles. In the video, fans spotted Harish Patel, the actor who played Ibu Hatela in Gunda.
Soon it created a huge buzz on social media. Many took to their Twitter handle and shared the photos of the actor. And now, in an interview with Indian Express, Harish Patel confirmed that he is indeed a part of the film and the rumours are absolutely true.
Confirming the news he said, "Yes, the man you saw in the teaser is me. I can just confirm that I am doing Eternals, but cannot speak about it right now." Not revealing much details about his role in the film he said, "The makers haven't even announced by name, and I will wait for them to do that." After spotting the actor, one Twitter user wrote, "just wanted y'all to know that the actor who (among other parts) also played the iconic Ibu Hatella in Gunda (Harish Patel) has a part in Marvel's The Eternals, glimpses of which we saw in the new lineup. Never give up on that dream."
Harish Patel made his acting debut with Shyam Benegal's Mandi and later went on to star in numerous movies. This includes Mr. India, Mohra, Gupt: The Hidden Truth, Gunda and also 'Four Weddings and a Funeral.'
