After CoA demanded a 2-ODI ban on Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul, yesterday, Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has reacted on the controversy that sparked off at Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan Season 6. The duo who made sexiest comments on the show, were trolled following which BCCI issued a show cause notice to the cricketers.

During the first ODI in Sydney, Kohli broke his silence about the ongoing controversy of the cricketers in front of the media. He said, “We as the Indian cricket team and responsible cricketers don't align with those views, those were individual opinions. We are still waiting for a decision to be made.”

He further added, “From the Indian cricket team's point of view, this changes nothing in our beliefs in the change room, it does nothing to the spirit we have have been able to create. Combinations will have to be thought of once the decision comes out.”

After their comments on the show about women created a stir on social media, Hardik had apologised for his comments. His post read, “After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in any way. Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did I mean to disrespect or hurt anyone's sentiments. Respect.”

Following his apologetic post, the BCCI (CoA) sent both of the cricketers show cause notices. Chairman of the Committee of Administrators that runs the BCCI, Vinod Rai had informed PTI, “We have sent show cause notices to Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul for their comments. They have been given 24 hours to give an explanation.”  Not convinced with their reply, the BCCI has now demanded a 2-ODI ban, decision of which is still pending.
