Today we celebrate the 74th year of India's Independence. This early morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the foreground of Delhi’s Red Fort to unfurl the National flag. The 15th day of August is marked as a historic day when India got Independence in the year, 1947 from the Britsh rule. We pay tribute and honour the countless sacrifices and struggles that won us our freedom. As the celebrations have gone digital, B-Town actors have taken to social media to wish their fans and other Indians. Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Vicky Kaushal, Lata Mangeshkar, Amitabh Bachchan and Kangana Ranaut among many others have extended their warm wishes.
Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “T 3627 - the true warriors in the fight against CoviD .. salute .. and on this auspicious day of our Independence wishes for peace prosperity ..” Akshay Kumar posted a video and asked people to help needy people in these tough times. He wrote, “#Together4India We all know these people, we all have these people in our lives. On this #IndependenceDay, lets come together for them, lets come #Together4India. जिससे जितनी हो सके उतनी मदद कीजिये... बस नज़रअंदाज़ मत कीजिये, share the way YOU care. Jai Hind”
Priyanka Chopra, on the other hand, posted a video of women leaders from the British rule. She wrote, “History is made when women take strides towards change. #Happy74thIndependenceDay #womeninhistory #changemakers” Kangana Ranaut’s team posted a picture of actress planting a sapling while looking gorgeous in a pink saree. The caption read, “आओ कुछ ऐसा बन के दिखाएँ की इस देश की मिट्टी को भी हम पे गर्व हो जाए, स्वतंत्रता दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ जय हिंद (Let’s do something so that the soil of this country can also be proud of us, sending heartfelt Independence Day wishes. Jai Hind).
