Director Hansal Mehta recently expressed his frustration on social media regarding his daughter's difficulties in obtaining an Aadhar card. The filmmaker took to X (formerly Twitter) to share that his daughter has been making frequent trips to the Aadhar Card office in Mumbai, specifically in Andheri East, for the past three weeks, only to be turned away each time by the senior manager. Mehta described the situation as "harassment," detailing the various pretexts given by the manager to delay the process.

Mehta's daughter has been facing numerous obstacles, such as being told that specific documents are missing, that the necessary stamps are incorrectly placed, or that she doesn't have an appointment on the day she visits. There have also been instances where the manager has cited personal leave as a reason for the delay. Despite her persistent efforts, including braving the monsoon rains and arriving early, the process remains incomplete.




The director shared his grievances on X, tagging the Office of CEO UIDAI and UIDAI handles in his post. In response, the official UIDAI handle replied with an automated message, asking for the complete address of the Aadhar Centre and contact details via direct message to assist further. Hansal Mehta confirmed that he had sent the required information.

Hansal Mehta, known for his critically acclaimed works, has two daughters, Kimaya and Rehana, with his wife Safeena Husain. He also has two sons, Jai and Pallava, from his first marriage. His son Jai recently made his debut as a filmmaker, co-directing the successful series "Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story" and helming two episodes of "Lootere."
