Anushka Sharma has proved her mettle as an actress and
producer with a number of successful films under her belt. However, in the
times of remakes, Anushka reveals the one film that should be remade in
contemporary times and the role she would want to essay.
What is it you ask?
Well, the leggy lass desires to play Manisha Koirala’s
role in Dil Se. She told a leading daily, “I love that movie (Dil Se). I think
it should be remade in contemporary times and I should do Manisha Koirala’s
part. I love that character and the way she played it was outstanding.”
Meanwhile, earlier this month, SpotboyE.com had
exclusively told you that the speculations of Sara Ali Khan collaborating
with Anushka Sharma and Prerna Arora (KriArj Entertainment) are untrue.
While Sara had loved the script of the film she was
offered but things didn’t work out. Reason? The initial plan was to release
Kedarnath somewhere in June 2018, but later it got shifted to December. Gattu
(Kedarnath's director) and Prerna (who is also producing Kedarnath in
association with Ekta Kapoor) felt that Sara should concentrate preferably only
on Kedarnath till it hits theatres. Consequently, Sara (sportingly) opted out,
excusing herself from the film on the same grounds.
If she had signed the Anushka-Prerna co-production, Sara
would have become the first female actor to be signed by Anushka's production
house Clean Slate Films (co-owned by her brother Karnesh), which has only made
films with the Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi actress in the lead role so far.
Coming back to the story, so the next time filmmakers
plan a remake and want to cast Anushka, they know what might get her interested
instantly.
