Bollywood actor Govinda needs no introduction, thanks to his amazing body of work. In his career spanning more than a decade, he has given many hits and record-breaking movies. His evergreen comedies are still loved by everyone. However, Govinda when he was at the peak of his career reportedly lost some big-budget projects due to his unprofessional behaviour. Now, in a recent interview, the Hero No 1 actor has opened up about allegations from directors and producers that he is ‘unprofessional’.

During his appearance on Maniesh Paul’s show, Govinda explained that when you’re successful, there are many who would try to pull you down. “When I was at the peak for 14-15 years, when everything was going in my favour, nobody raised these issued. This is the film industry, people change with time, and so do equations. I was at the top for 14 years, there was no planning. But when I realised that people were turning against me, I couldn’t do anything about it. People who grow up with astrology, numerology, vastu shastra… They don’t pay attention to these puny people. It’s too small a factor to look at. Mountains crumble too,” the 58-year-old actor was quoted saying. In fact, back then, there were reports claiming that filmmaker David Dhawan, who had made many films with Govinda, refused to work with the actor.

After giving several hits, Govinda took a break from acting in the early 2000s. He revived his career with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Partner in 2007.  He was last seen in the 2018 film Rangeela Raja.
