Ranbir Kapoor experienced it first-hand with his personal driver.
The actor's driver used to be paid big bucks - from his 'malik' as well as the producers of the films that RK works on. How does that work out?
You see, the norm in the industry is that when an actor is working on your film, you have to bear all his costs during the shoot and pre-release promotional activities. That includes everyone from his manager to the hair stylist to the driver.

However, things changed when Mukesh Bhatt spoke up about how every producer has to pay through his nose dealing with the star and his minions. Next thing you know, many filmmakers joined hands and decided to stop paying for the stars' team members. So, our poor RK's driver took a hit there.
Plus, you know RK - he is anyway doing fewer films right now. And with him shooting for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in London, driver bechara had no work here. And, less work means less money.
So what did he do? Told his malik that the severe pay cut doesn't suit him and left the job.
Tsk! Tsk!
