Amidst the ongoing farmer's protests in Punjab, actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh and Manikarnika actress Kangana Ranaut got into a war of words on social media. Kangana made some harsh comments in tweets on social media which didn’t go well for many including Diljit. Eventually, they both got in a social media war on Twitter. Now, following his mega spat with Kangana, Dosanjh dropped another tweet extending his support to the farmers protesting in Punjab. He revealed that the protest is not about religion.
On Twitter, Diljit Dosanjh made a tweet and tweeted, “NANAK NAAM CHARDI KALAA.. TERE BHANE SARBAT DA BHALAA Kush Lok Protest Ko Hindu-Sikh ki Ladai Bana Ne Mai Lagey Hue Hain.. Jabki Baat Sirf Kisaan Ki Ho Rahi Hai.. Dharm Ki Baat Toh Hai Hee Nahi Koi bhi Dharm Ladai Ki Baat Nahi Karta Rab Da Vasta #farmerprotest.” The actor wrote in Punjabi and explained the reason behind the protest in Punjab. He mentioned that there are some people who feel that the farmer's protest is a fight between the two religions-Hindu and Sikh. Dosanjh claimed that there are people who try to give the protest a turn towards a fight, whereas, most importantly, the topic of discussion is only about the farmers. He finally concluded his tweet explaining that the protest is not about religion, and mentioned that no one is fighting about it as well.
