Confirming the news, the actress’ spokesperson said, “Parineeti was shooting non-stop for Namaste England in Patiala and had back-to-back, pre-committed endorsement commitments. So, unfortunately, she did not have enough time to rehearse in spite of her best efforts.”

The spokesperson added, “Being a thorough professional, Parineeti spoke to Wizcraft and explained to them that she was not ok putting up a compromised performance. Wizcraft has been gracious enough to understand this and agrees with Parineeti. She would not be performing at the gala opening.”

We were the first to tell you that Hrithik Roshan had been roped in for the finale act for the IPL opening ceremony, as Ranveer had pulled out, owing to health reasons.

Ranveer’s loss is Hrithik’s gain and while both actors are a powerhouse of energy and best suited for live gigs, thanks to their dance prowess, we can’t wait to see Mr Roshan in action.

As far as Parineeti’s exit is concerned, let’s wait and watch, if another leading heroine will step into Pari’s shoes for the opening ceremony of Indian Premiere League this Saturday.

As of now, Varun Dhawan and Hrithik Roshan are the only two stars who would be bringing the house down for cricket’s gala night.
