The romantic film about a couple who do not believe in marriage, was expected to strike a chord with the youngsters but most reviews slammed it as an insipid love story.(Movie Review: OK Jaanu, Sex OK, Kissing OK, Shraddha-Aditya OK But....,Jan 13 2017).
Despite the intimate scenes between Shraddha and Aditya and the hit music of AR Rahman, OK Jaanu did not open to packed theatres. And now the numbers are in, the film has only made Rs 4.08 crore on its first day.

Shraddha and Aditya who are reuniting on screen after the 2013 hit Aashiqui 2, had gone all out to promote the film.
Over the weekend OK Jaanu will have to compete with Deepika Padukone’s Hollywood debut, xXx: Return Of Xander Cage, which also stars Vin Diesel, Ruby Rose, Tony Jaa and Nina Dobrev. Then there is Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s indie flick Haraamkhor, which too released this Friday.
