Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap makes his first appearance on social media after his angioplasty that happened earlier this week. His daughter Aaliyah Kashyap dropped a short video clip on her INSTA Stories, where the filmmaker is seen with an unibrow, all bald and saying something as his daughter zooms on it, his face. Smiling, the filmmaker is seen in a faded blue t-shirt, with a mask hanging around his neck. In the background we can hear her laughing as she captures her father in her camera.
The Black Friday director is heard saying in the video, “I am so blind.” News of the filmmaker undergoing an angioplasty was confirmed by his spokesperson during an interaction with PTI. His spokesperson said, “Yes, he underwent an angioplasty. He is now recuperating. Thank you for your concern.” Anurag underwent this medical procedure after he complained of chest pain last week, informed a source. Kashyap is recuperating at home and seems to have his daughter Aaliyah for his company.

The filmmaker is currently working on Dobaaraa starring Manmarziyaan stars Taapsee Pannu and Pavail Gulati. This marks his third collaboration with actress Taapsee Pannu after Manmarziyaan and Saand Ki Aankh. Meanwhile on the personal front, his daughter returned to India after 10 months from the United States. She documented her entire journey from the US to India in her YouTube vlog. Aaliyah was welcomed by her mother Aarti Bajaj, Anurag Kashyap’s ex-wife.
