Film Journalist And Critic Rajeev Masand Critical As He Battles COVID-19; Swara Bhasker, Dia Mirza And More Pray For His Speedy Recovery

Renowned film journalist and critic Rajeev Masand was reported to be hospitalised after he tested positive for COVID-19. He was rushed to Mumbai's Kokilaban hospital where he currently battling the deadly virus after his oxygen levels dropped down. Though there was news of Masand being put on a ventilator, his colleague Somen Mishra refuted the report on Twitter and clarified that he is critical and not on a ventilator. This news got many Bollywood celebs praying for his speedy recovery. The list includes Swara Bhasker, Sophie Choudry, Dia Mirza, Suniel Shetty, Bipasha Basu, Nimrat Kaur, Sanjay Suri, Pulkit Samrat, Rahul Dev and Ashoke Pandit. All the celebs were seen taking to their social media account to pen messages for him.

Swara Bhasker wrote in her social media post, “Praying for you @RajeevMasand” while Sophie Choudhry wrote, “Yessss! Prayers for your speedy recovery @RajeevMasand” Meanwhile Bipasha Basu Tweeted, “Praying for @RajeevMasand Durga Durga” Sanjay Suri tweeted, “Prayers & positive energy @RajeevMasand” Soon-to-be mommy Dia Mirza praying for his speedy recovery mentioned that he should take a look at her message and know that he is being loved. Her Tweet read, “Dearest @RajeevMasand Praying hard. Get better soon and see this message and know that you are so loved”

Masand who began his career as a journalist later went on to work with various organizations. He has also been an active member of the many film festivals hosted nationally as well as internationally in his career. As per reports in the media, after being a film critic for almost 25 years in 2021, he joined filmmaker Karan Johar’s talent management agency, Dharma Cornerstone Agency as Chief Operating Officer.
