Fawad Khan made his Bollywood film debut with the lead role in the romantic comedy, Khoobsurat. He later starred in Shakun Batra's Kapoor & Sons. Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was his last Hindi project. Now, after five years, Fawad said that he misses Bollywood. He also said that he made some 'great friends' in the industry and that he is still in touch with them.
After the Uri attack in 2016, the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association passed a resolution to ban Pakistani artists from working in Indian films. The All Indian Cine Workers Association announced a total ban on Pakistani artists after the Pulwama terror attack in 2019.
In an interview with Film Companion, when Fawad was asked if he misses Bollywood, he said, "I do. I made some great friends there, I still keep in touch with them. Yeah, I miss it. For the uninitiated, Fawad and his Zindagi Gulzar Hai co-star Sanam Saeed are set to reunite after eight years for a Zindagi Digital series directed by Asim Abbasi. The show will stream in India on Zee5. Fans of the actors are excited to see them on screen together.
