Confirming the news of doing the sequel, she told the tabloid, “As soon as I heard that he [Basu] was making a movie, and was interested in [casting] me, I was excited. I didn't care about the script. There are some directors whose worlds you simply wish to be part of”, adding that apart from Basu, Rajkumar Hirani and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's offerings are those she would "shut my eyes and say yes to."
Not only this, the actress also revealed that she discusses work with mentor Aamir Khan but then there is a line she draws there too. "We talk about scripts and characters, but I won't ask him what I am lacking in as an actor." Shaikh told the tabloid.
Earlier, quashing rumours of dating Mr Perfectionist, the actress had told Bollywood Hungama, “It’s very weird. My mother keeps on watching TV and the other day she showed me ‘Your photo has come’ and I was like ‘Read the headline to know what’s written. It used to disturb me initially, and I used to feel the need to explain myself. But now, I do not feel the need to explain because I feel no matter what you do, people will talk about you.”
She had further added, “If someone accuses you of something, the first instinct is to come out and tell, ‘Listen, why do you think it is like this?’ If you are an aggressive person, you will attack. If you are a submissive person, even then you will talk about it.”
