SpotboyE.com now has it that debutant director Shujaat Saudagar plans to capture the popular music festival, NH 7 Weekender, happening in Shillong, known for its indie music artistes.
The film, which stars Farhan, Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, revolves around the music scene in the extreme East arm of India and Shujaat wishes to include those shots in the film.
"The plan, as of now, is to shoot at the film festival with Farhan and Shraddha. The spirit of a music festival cannot be aptly recreated in a studio. So, the idea is to capture the event as it happens. We plan to start the proceedings exactly a day after Dusshera," says a source close to the project.
A few months ago, Farhan also met the music group Somersault in Shillong and plans to record a song or two with them for the film.
