If we recall, Lucknow Central has had its own share of troubles even before the film went to floors. The film was shelved for the longest time, and finally there came hope in form of Viacom 18 when they joined hands with Nikhil Advani’s Emmay Entertainment as co-producers of the film.

Speaking to a leading daily, Nikhil informed, “We are
extremely excited about this project as it’s a very unique concept set against
the backdrop of a jail and its inmates. The stellar ensemble cast adds further
charm and intrigue to the film and we can’t wait to bring this captivating
drama to the viewers.”
In the film, Farhan essays the role of a small town
common man and because of unforeseen circumstances lands up in jail. Lucknow
Central, which is said to be a comedy drama, features Diana Penty opposite
Farhan. The film also has Gippy Grewal, Deepak Dobriyal, Ronit Roy and Rajesh
Sharma in pivotal roles.

On the other hand, Simran will be Kangana's next after
the debacle of Rangoon. The film has been shot mostly in Atlanta, USA. Simran
will also feature Sohum Shah, Esha Tewari Pande and Mark Justice.

While Lucknow Central is still under production, the
shoot of Simran is over and the film is currently in its post production stage.
There hasn't yet been any news from the filmmakers on
averting the clash.Let's wait and watch to see who blinks first. Or will it be
no one.
