The second wave of coronavirus has hit India badly. There is also a shortage of beds, medicines and oxygen cylinders in hospitals. Given the current situation, people are fighting a war between life and death. Amidst all this, reports of fake medication being sold are making buzz online. Farhan Akhtar recently took to his Twitter handle and expressed his anger and disappointment over the same.
Taking to Twitter, Farhan wrote, "Seen a news report of people manufacturing & selling fake Covid medication. You have to be a special kind of monster to con people in these dark & desperate times. Shame on you, whoever you are!!!" Netizens agreed with the actor and expressed their anger too. One fan wrote, "Absolutely horrific!," another user wrote, "True... only monsters can try n make money of others difficulties.. karma will take them money for sure."
For the uninitiated, R Madhavan, too, recently took to his Twitter handle and warned his fans against Covid-19 drug racket. He shared a post that read, "FRAUD ALERT BEWARE PEOPLE Mr. Ajay Aggarwal is selling Remdesivir for Rs. 3000/vial. He would ask you to IMPS money in advance so that he can deliver you PAN India in 3 hrs and then won't pick up." The actor captioned it as, "Also received this.. pls be aware. we have such devils amongst us too."
Speaking about Farhan Akhtar, on the work front, he will be seen in Toofaan. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash, Toofaan also stars Paresh Rawal, Supriya Pathak and Mrunal Thakur.
