Bollywood’s popular rapper and dancer, Abhijeet Shinde who had worked with celebs like Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn among others, committed suicide at his Mumbai residence, yesterday morning. Reportedly, 32-year-old, Abhijeet ended his life as he was suffering from depression. It is said that, he was disturbed as his wife separated with him 3 months ago and was not allowing him to meet his daughter.
A police officer told Mumbai Mirror, “Shinde’s wife had been living at her mother’s place since the past three months. She was not allowing Shinde to meet their two-year-old daughter, which upset him badly. He had been depressed over the past few days.” According to the report, Abhijeet is suspected to have hanged himself from the ceiling fan at his home around 6.30 am, yesterday. As the flat’s door was open, a few neighbours went to check on him and found him hanging. The police were immediately alerted.
Shinde was rushed to a nearby hospital, but was declared dead on arrival. A note found from the spot said that the money in his bank account should go to his daughter. Senior inspector of Bhandup police station told Mirror, “We registered an accidental death report and handed over the body to the deceased’s family members after conducting a post-mortem.”
