Om Raut's vision of Ramayana has been under scrutiny for its unsatisfactory acting, poor VFX, and tapori dialogues. However, there’s still some hope for Bollywood. While the industry has yet another ace in its hand - Nitish Tiwari’s Ramayana - the upcoming film has now come under the scanner for the biggest casting coup ever.

A lot is being discussed and written about Tiwari’s vision of the mythological epic drama and its casting. However, the latest reports question the alleged scandal as a few tweets claim that pan-India star Yash has rejected the role of Ravana in Nitesh's epic because speculated leads Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor allegedly eat 'beef'.

Multiple reports suggest that Yash has in fact not turned down Ramayana and he might actually be a part of the magnum opus despite its cast and what they consume.

The claims of the Kannada star rejecting the role due to his co-stars, who themselves are yet to be confirmed, having dietary likings that don't bode well with certain religious sections, are untrue and completely baseless.

The clarification comes after an internal independent industry source was quoted saying, "the reports of Yash not doing Ramayana are absolutely baseless. Please wait for one of the biggest casting coups to be announced when the Ramayana team officially does it."

A Pinkvilla report suggests that Nitish Tiwari’s Ramayana will go on floors in December this year. The buzz is that the film will go on floors in December this year, with Ranbir as Ram, Alia as Sita and Yash as Lankesh.

The film is said to be produced by Allu Aravind, Madhu Mantena and Namit Malhotra.
