Haseena Parkar
which is based on underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's sister is all set to release
on September 22. The film
was earlier due to release on August 18. However, to avoid the clutter on that weekend with films like Bareilly
Ki Barfi, Raj Kummar Rao’s Newton and Huma Qureshi’s Partition 1947, makers of
the film decided to clash with Sanjay Dutt’s Bhoomi on September 22 instead.
Shraddha Kapoor In Haseena Parkar
Directed by
Apoorva Lakhia, the film features Shraddha Kapoor in the title role. Shraddha's
brother Siddhanth will portray the role of Dawood Ibrahim, while Ankur Bhatia
will essay Haseena's husband Ibrahim Parkar.
A statement on
behalf of the makers has been released stating the shift in release date,
" We wanted to get a better release date as there has been a lot of hard
work, research and thought put behind each and every scene of the movie.”
While talking to a
leading website, director Apoorva Lakhia said, "As a director, it is very
important for me to ensure that the film reaches out to maximum audience as it
takes a lot of patience and perseverance to make a film on a subject like this.
We are all set to release on September 22and hope the audience loves it as much as we loved working on it.”
A Still From Sanjay Dutt's Bhoomi
Talking about
Sanjay Dutt’s Bhoomi, it has been the talk of the town since it was announced.
The film is not only Sanjay Dutt’s comeback film, but an emotional and
sensitive revenge drama that explores the relationship between a father and his
daughter, played by Aditi Rao Hydari.
Let’s see if
Haseena Parkar makers’ decision of choosing Sanjay Dutt as their opponent at
the box-office proves to be a wise one or not?
