The 1982 film Shakti which starred Dilip Kumar which starred Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Rakhee, Smita Patil, Anil Kapoor, Amrish Puri is all set for a remake. We brought you inside details yesterday.

Harish Sugandh, the producer of the original that was helmed by Ramesh Sippy has bounced off the remake idea to Shree Narayan Singh, the director of Toilet Ek Prem Katha. We also told you that Amitabh Bachchan will be stepping into Dilip Kumar’s shoes and the question is who will essay Big B’s role this time.

While it may sound as an exciting idea, the question is whether the remake will be able to do justice to the original version. Do you think an iconic film like Shakti should be tampered with? Considering the fact that remakes don’t turn out to be as successful and amazing as the original, it’s a huge risk.
